Great book

This is my first bought tab book. I'm not a guitar player (but I play bass), and I learned probably every basic chord, and some ones i didn't even know existed. If you have a chromatic tuner, the tunings won't be that hard to get. The transcriptions are almost perfect (I know that they're not perfect because I have the DVD), but it's a great book to start on if you've just started guitar. Have fun, this is a great album/book.

capture each note

This is the gospel of acoustic grunge. It has the lead and 2nd guitar tabs as well as lyrics. I rate it inter/adv because I believe that is the level required to master each note in the songbook. Outstanding.

Great Book

This is my favorite music book I currently own (and I have a lot). It's an enjoyable experience playing these hard rocking songs on an acoustic guitar the same way the band did.

a definite choice for a chains fan

I just started playing a couple years ago and I purchased this book about about 6 months ago. I already have half of the songs mastered. The only reason I rated it intermediate is because of the hard chords that they do. But it just takes a little practice, like I said I haven't been playing long and in just half a years time I can play "Down in a Hole," "Heaven Beside You," "Nutshell," and more no better then Mr. Cantrell!

sweet book

Alice in Chains is my all-time favourite band and their unplugged CD was one off their best. This book gives VERY accurate transcriptions of the songs featured in their unplugged concert. Once done with this book you can play guitar like Jerry himself. Well almost like Jerry.

Alice in Chains Acoustic

A pretty easy, but still interesting book that gives you a good sound while playing along with the CD.
