Beautiful!

I played this song at my piano recital. I needed a vocalist tho b/c if you just play the piano part it is hard to make out the song.It sounded amazing tho! But..you need to be able to really stretch your fingers and I know my hand got so sore from all the stretching!!! But this song was amazing and i got so many compliments on it!!!!

it's exciting !!!!

I 'm a beginner in learning the piano and so I thought that it would be too soon to start to play with a real music sheet but I wanted to try with this song because I really liked it and even if the result because of my learning level isn't what I was expecting to hear of course I can tell you that it really motivated me to keep learning the piano, because this song is actually not that hard to learn to play, I really enjoy practising it, it sounds so fun, really !

Amazing... and good exercise, too.

i have to admit that i got quite a workout from playing this song, but i like it, b/c you can burn some calories! it's good exercise! but i also enjoy playing this song along with the CD. once i get at the piano, i play the song over and over, b/c i've wanted to do it for so long, [3 LONG years] and now my dream has come true. [even though i've probably drove some people crazy playing it over and over]. just a year ago, i couldn't play the song, but now that i'm more advanced and have more flexible hands, the song just came to me one day while i was sitting at the piano, bored with nothing to do. so the bottom line is that i recommend everyone who loves Vanessa [and ATM] learn this song, b/c it's not as hard as you think, even with all of the sixteenth and eighth notes. trust me; it does a body good. *winks*

sssssssssuper

I really loved playing this song because it sounds really hard when Vanessa plays it, (and yes I realize it is the easy version) and I get to show off to my friends that I can play 1000 miles. The music and the words are both very pretty, and now I get to play them. Great music, great lyrics, great price, great deal. Great for beginners to step it up a little, intermeddiates to enjoy, and advanced to just have fun.

Amazing!

This is an amazing piece! This is a beautiful song that is arranged spectacularly. A Thousand Miles is my all-time favorite song. I just started piano, and the piano notes flow from my fingertips like silk. The lyrics are so beautiful and powerful. I sang this song for the talent show and I've loved it ever since. I highly recommend it for everyone--beginner or advanced. It's amazing. =)

Okay

This isn't her original, but it's a pretty good version for pianists that aren't too advanced, and if you're looking for a piano solo version. It's a little weird-sounding because the piano plays the melody, but it's not too bad. Recommended to intermediate pianists that are looking for something easy to learn in their free time.

Easy

I thought it would be much harder than it is. The arrangment pretty much reapeats so its much simpler to learn. Rather than all new verses it repeats verses. I love it and would recoment this to anyone who like the song or anyone thinking about buying it.

I thought it would be kinda hard, but it was really easy and I got to show off the fact that I could play 1,000 miles on the piano. I just luv this song and now I can play it. It's way easier than it looks.

This is Great!

You MUST buy this! This is great for beginners. I have tried lots of other music from other places and none of it has been like this.

Easy arrangement

Nothing in the description indicates that this is an "easy piano" edition. As an easy piano arrangement, it's fine, I just wish it had said that when I bought it. I guess I should've known, since most Dan Coates arrangements are easy piano. Luckily, this site allows returns.
