A Study In Contrasts by Sammy Nestico. For clarinet choir (optional Eb, 4 Bb, Eb alto, Bb bass, optional BBb contra-bass, & optional Eb contra-alto/bass clarinets). Grade 4. Score and set of parts. Duration 2 minutes, 30 seconds. Published by Kendor Music Inc (KN.15740).
Published in 1964, this well established contest and recital favorite in two movements presents the ensemble in dramatically different stylistic lights. The first movement is a larghetto theme that should be played very freely with much expression, while the second is a lilting scherzando featuring a steady pulse. Rich harmonies abound in both. Duration 2:30.

review of "A study in Contrasts"
Two Movement piece titled "The Demure and The Delightfull"--I respectfully disagree. Both movements are delightfull! It can be played as a mixed quintet or full choir. Cute melodies, intriguing harmonies (and unusual voicings-esp. in Eb soprano part). A favorite with my bunch.
