interesting
These are fun and interesting arrangements. They are difficult but not too difficult. I have played 42 plus years and have been a professional pianist for 27 of those years. They have tricky rhythms and large jazz chords with multiple notations. There are multiple key changes as well. If the cd is listened to then the arrangement make more sense from the get go. I am glad I got this book.

not bad
I'm puzzled by the reviewer who claims this book is intermediate at best. Some songs are, but some are more challenging. While I'm not a professional pianist, I took lessons for 12+ years, have taught piano for a few years and consider myself a reasonably decent sight-reader, and after a few weeks of messing with it, I still don't quite have the 7-page arrangement of O Holy Night mastered (but close!). That arrangement and the one of Slient Night (a much easier, more intermediate piece) are my favorites in this book. I will admit that I was hoping for some arrangements that were slightly more "traditional" sounding, but if you like arrangements that are a little unexpected and fun, I think you'd like this book.

Playable, good read.
As an intermediate player, I found the music in this book to be quite playable as a read, or pieces that could be learned relatively quickly. They are filled with interesting ideas that bring new life to familiar tunes. That's exactly what I like to see in Christmas books--I'm not likely to prepare "Jingle Bells" for a concert performance, so I'm really not looking for challenging Christmas music. Instead, what I really like to do is just after Thanksgiving, add it to my practise regimen as something interesting to read and fill the house with holiday cheer. The arrangements are not suitable for singing along to, but certainly would be wonderful as background, and in some cases foreground music for social events, family get togethers, etc. A very nice collection!

Definitely NOT advanced
The cover prints this as advanced piano solo, but it is early intermediate at best. These arrangements by Matthew Janszen are the worst I have ever purchased.
