A Brass Ring Jig was written for a brass quintet with at least two years of playing experience. The first trumpet part is up to a G above the terble clef but the other parts should be well within the ranges of second year players. The piece is set in a lively 6/8 rhythm in the style of an Irish Jig. Ater the introduction the melody begins in the tuba part then moves up through the ensemble as the piece continues.
