These upper intermediate level cello duets were composed in London as teaching pieces, first published in 1780.

  • April 18, 2009 Great set of duets for two cellos

I first saw a movement of one of these on youtube and decided to get them. I've started teaching them to my students and they greatly enjoy playing them. They require lots of shifting and are a great way to learn how to get ones hand up and down...

the fingerboard. Even a little reading of tenor clef is found in these duets. Nice melodies for sure. Both players get rewarding parts. Schetky wrote them for tuition purposes, and I certainly recommend these duets.
