A must to have book for professional viola student
Every student should go and play adequate studies from this book, advised by a teacher. There are studies easier than others and to exercise different parts of the musician, left hand, bow, etc.

gotta love etudes...
this etude book is not bad. it has 42 bowings for the 2nd and 3rd etudes. it also has more than that for the later etudes. this book is the "bread and butter" for string playing. i start off every day from either this or schradieck. what i like most are the alternate fingerings this edition has. good luck! :)
