Well organized, but poor selection and CD
Bolt does a fine job organizing the pieces so that a beginner can work through each of them and develop additional skills. The fingerings, the tab, and the musical notational are all professionally done. But Bolt given the huge amount of material, Bolt has not selected songs that will really...

Terrific collection of graded solos
Many of these selections are not found in other graded collections. Good work. I wish, however, there was a section with the same selections, but w/o tablature, so pages would not have to be turned so often.

good progression in difficulty but....
the progression in difficulty is right, but i feel the author shouldn't have included TAB. i am not a notation snob, it's just that TAB becomes a crutch. in fact TAB actually keeps students (and even me) from getting what's going on harmonically. i'm whiting out all the tab in...

Ben Bolt God has placed his loving hand
Well, what can one say about Ben Bolt? A Christian from what I hear, that has served him well. He serves others via his books. One can feel this from a distance! It's so super clean and well thought out. One often wonders where his inspiration originates?
