Great for Practice

"At last, I can use this book. I have been self teaching myself and now on my second year, I can play this book with ease. I love that the words are there as a guide. The use of chords on the base line to play the melody are perfect for the beginner. It is quite easy after mastering the ability to read music. I love the book. I will buy more from Alfred's Basic Library."

A Must for any music stand!

" I am just past beginning piano and love this book. My 75 year old mother who just took up piano fell in love with the songs and ease of musical notation, so I bought her a copy for mother's day! She was sooo happy!! My piano teacher was impressed with the entire book and the correct fingering (she's a stickler for that). An excellent book - I hope they make more!! "

good for a first timer

"But if you are looking for complete versions, this is not the book. Mostly the common theme of a song is played. Good if you are trying to get back on the wagon, but you would need to upgrade to other songs afterwards."
