"I had this same volume previously, but it somehow got misplaced or lost, so I was very happy to see that this same version (Schenker) was still available. A must-have book for any piano-playing Beethoven fan."

"These marvelous sonatas convey Beethovens emotions perfectly and are all great editions. Dover does a great job of binding this book and I doubt it will fall apart in the next 5 years! So far I have only played 3 of these late sonatas as they are fairly difficult to master and are for the aspiring pianist. Good luck to anyone who wants to play them (esp. Hammerklavier fugue)"

"First, the Dover edition is Urtext (what was originally intended by the composer) at a lesser price point than the Henle version. Second, the binding stays open better than the Henle version, which needs constant manipulation to stay flat. But third and most of all, the edition, which contains "Appassionata", "Waldstein", "Tempest", and "Les Adieux", is a perfect accompaniment to (and builds upon) Volume No. 1. Dover's edition reads well, has great fingering suggestions, and is very durable. The music itself is difficult and rewarding. This edition, along with Volume No. 1, should be required material for any serious pianist."

"This is a beautiful volume, easy to read and excellent fingering suggestions. My only complaint is the binding is stiff and difficult to keep open on the music stand. Wouldn't spiral binding make more sense for these types of collections?"

"This is a fine production where attention has been paid to the format of the collection to ensure that reading is easy and the size of the font os just right for the player with glasses. The music itself is an absolute joy."

"Same as above"

"I'm not advanced but have always enjoyed challenges. These sonatas do the thing. Besides they are a joy to listen to as well."

"This book of sonatas is absolutely wonderful. I played 3 of these works at a concert and received a standing ovation for it. A lovely book. I recomend it to anyone who admires beethovens works."
