"Professor Dapogny's presentation is a gem for the advanced pianist or serious student. Way too technical and theoretical for the out-of-shape casual player. Metronomic speeds in the 150-200 range are beyond challenging and, in my view, impossible for those with small hands."

"This collection is for advanced players or students who wish to get a better understanding of Morton's musical skills. The book is professionally presented and would make a major contribution to a players library."

"This was my first attempt to study Morton's music and, as a relative newcomer to playing piano at all, this was a fantastic learning experience about music in general. This is not easy material to master, although there are a few songs such as Billy Goat Stomp that are playable by an intermediate pianist. So, if nothing else, you can get a taste of some of Morton's tunes until you can tackle Dapgny's masterful transcriptions of the more complex pieces."

"Great Music Sheet +++ Very nice presentation and documentation. Very professional. Jelly Roll Morton's piano music is extremely difficult, and this sheet is excellent to work. "

"This is a great book which exceeds all my expectations. Clearly written with a number of different alternatives for some of the melodies. I received this within 10 days of ordering it from Australia. As a long time Jelly Roll fan I am looking forward to working though it. Sheetmusic plus looked after my order and ensured I got it on time before time. Thank you...."

"if as me you are looking for only note for note transcriptions of piano jazzz, this album is for you. I'm very happy because, i find the 2 piece of the film 1900 ( la légende du pianiste sur l'ocean ), the 2 pieces are 'the grave' and 'fingerbuster'. This 2 pieces are exactly note for note as in the film. I live in France and i receive the score 10 days after the command. All is perfect. Thanks for all."

"The transcriptions of Jelly Roll's piano pieces are unbelievable; almost an exact note for note transciption of piano rolls, recordings, solo's, and the majority-live performances. For Advanced piano players only."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! These are wonderful transcriptions, not "watered-down" skeletons as so many other books give. There is great information on each piece given in the book as well. I hope too that similar books will be done for other jazz and blues pianists, and the sooner the better!"

"Invaluable book with acurate transcriptions of many of Morton's solos. I wish a book like this existed for other great early jazz pianists. "

"Accurate transcriptions of most of Morton's piano solos...meticulously annotated. You need chops, but this is the real thing by an expert. Not for beginners, but there is much to learn here. "
