I bought this Volume 1 of Brahms Complete Works for solo Piano because I had heard on a classical music station here in Los Angeles, Brahms Variations and Fugue on a theme by Handel, Op. 24. The piece intrigued me so much I just had to see the compositional form of this piece. In looking through Sheet Music Plus' library I found just what I wanted in the Schirmer's Library of Musical Classics. I trust in all things Schirmer's. It is a given that everything that Schirmer's has done is fully researched and all appropriate advice on a particular composer's style, content and application towards rendition will be fully covered! This volume is way beyond my abilities, but I have a great teacher and someday in the future I will attempt this piece and others by Brahms.
