Good, but misleading

There are a lot of tunes in this book, just as it says in its description. Unfortunately, it also says in its description that there are slow aires in it, and there are none. My teacher and I looked through it and didn't find any. Otherwise, there are plenty of songs to choose from, but if you want aires, look elsewhere.

Just a Lot of Fun

These tunes are fun to play and just make you feel good! In addition to being great "etudes" primarily in the first position, the melodies and rhythms make you want to keep on playing!

Fun for players with experience.

Good book with lots of Irish tunes. Short songs but fun. You need some experience. Not for a beginner.

Disappointed

It's okay--it's like they tried to fill it with a lot of tunes (they are very short by the way) to sell sheet music but went with quantity not quality. I don't use it very often as I prefer Complete Irish Fiddler and Fidder's Wrist to this one.

WOW

WoW! I love this book as I'm a Celtic music lover and so glad that I can play this music. The more you play the more you remember the songs, so when someone asks you to play something you know what to play! Happy fiddling! :)

good but short

This is a good book, but the songs are kind of short. They're fun, though. My stand partner and I play out of this book at the beggining of class. It's kind of cool.

Excellent book!

This is a wonderful book! With 300 songs, you'll never become bored. I have been playing for four years and this book is definately on my favorite list. I highley recommend this title for the fiddle guru.

Sheet music addict

What I mean is I am a sheet music addict always buying more! That's why this book is very good (300 is a pretty good number!). Many Scottish & Irish songs. Almost all the songs are celtic if it helps. Most of the songs are similar to the ones in "110 of Ireland's best Fiddle Tunes." I hope now that you know what's in the book it helps (I didn't Know it was celtic! Great buy!!).

The Music of Today

I think that this music will help your child or student grow in his/her own musical talent. I belive that when you hear your child playing this music you will just want to get out of your chair and dance. It is filled with lively fiddle tunes, dancing tunes and much much more. Thank you for listening to me babble on about this wonderful selection that the author has picked for your child or student to practice during their free time. Again thank you for listening.
