"This piece is beautiful. It doesn't strike me as something that I would write for a woman that I wanted to marry, as it is too mournful, but if I could write something this beautiful, I would write it for it's own sake! This is a very easy piece- then again, that's coming from somebody who likes to play Liszt. I put Intermediate, though for me I would put Early Intermediate. This is a beautiful piece, an attractive edition, a great price, worth it altogether. The famous part of Fur Elise is only the first part. It has an interlude in the middle which is very pretty and slightly more difficult, as well as, for some reason, much less famous. Altogether, this piece has my highest recommendation. If you like this, I would also recommend Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. The first movement has the same slow, mournful feel. However, the edition by Schirmer I will warn you has very confusing remarks on the pedaling."

"fur elise is a beautiful peice. it took me two months to learn as a begginer. i have been playing for seven months. it still has some flaws at the faster harder sections. so i'm hoping to work them out with my new piano teacher. i'm only ten years old and i love anything that has to do with piano. including jazz, ragtime and classical piano."

"I took lessons for years when I was younger and just recently got a piano so I've been trying to "brush up" on my skills. This one was not too difficult, but still a challenge. It sounds great and I think it's just right for an intermediate player. "
— Anonymous from WI on February 2, 2009
"i've always found this peice very hard to play, but once you learn it, it is very rewarding. there are some 16th and 32nds that are hard, but a good song to learn"
— Mary from battle creek on August 29, 2008
"I Love this peice, because it is like a work of art of the finest quality. Once I started playing this peice, I started to get very interested in beethovens music. And it taught me and inspired me. Any true musician knows that when something is so good that it Mesmorizes you, it is trully a masterpiece. "
— Sydney from Durham, CT on July 27, 2008
"What can I say? It's a Beethoven masterpiece that an intermediate skill player can enjoy. There are some 16th and 32nd's that are pretty quick and difficult to master and some very quick 4 part harmonies, but otherwise an unenjoyable piece. "

"Here you will find a very clearly printed arrangement of this song that everyone knows and loves. Don't get caught buying any other version of this song because this is the real thing. You will recognize it the first time you play it. It has all the passages and runs that you want to see here. This is the genuine article."
— Sandra Barr from Dallas Texas on June 25, 2008
"This piece of music is well set out and easy to follow. I have always liked this classic tune and it is a pleasure to learn to play it."
— Ellie from Armidale, Australia on June 15, 2008
"The slow part in the beginning is very easy and can be played by all but when it gets fast, it gets a little complicated and is more for intermediate audiences. Other than that, Fur Elise is very moving, beautiful, and rewarding, and capturing to your audience! The paper is also very good quality and easy to read, making it enjoyable instead frustrating. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY SERIOUS MUSICIAN!"
— Evelyn Mozart14 from Hedgesville WV on June 1, 2008
"EAsy to read and play since it is in three sheets joined in one piece so is displayed well. the music arrived promtly too and in perfect condition."

"This is an amazing piece that you can play over and over again. The arrangment is so beautiful and it is a lot better than the others I have searched for."

"I've been playing this piece so long that I can't find the piece of music I originally learned from, so ordered a new copy to check my memory. My memory was accurate, but it's nice to know for sure. I found the notation on the piece I learned on easier to read, but that could be b/c my eyes are a good bit older now too. This is a good intro Beethoven and I think it would make an excellent teaching piece, though I basically cribbed it out of my mom's library and taught it to myself and therefore have never tried teaching it to anyone. I find the piece nuanced and with something new to show me whenever I play it even after all this time."

"I love this music. I am a beginner/ intermed. player, lessons for about 1 year, but I practice almost an hour a day because I love to play so much. This song is the most fun! It has easy to conquer parts-(the main melody), so that is fun, then it has really difficult sections that should be played very quickly. This is the daily challenge. I love it!! I've been working on it for 2 months now and almost have it down!"
— Ruth from Central Coast,, CA on September 17, 2007
"Exactly what I ordered. It's a great tune; enjoyed by listeners. I've been away from the piano for awhile, so this was a good piece of sheet music to get my fingers moving again."

"It is not all that hard all you need is basic learned skills(how to read music and descent rhythm) and you are set"

"Fur Elise is one of my latest songs .i'm thirteen and have been playing piano for 4 years it took me three and a half weeks to finally play the song all the way through.I I find it rare and demanding to actually Master this song.It 's very time and ability demanding and even if you think you can't play it. Do it anyway you never know until you try. This is a beautiful song written by a brilliant composer and I think everyone should expirience it"

"Ludwig van Beethoven is my favourite camposer. He's a great music writer as well as a great piano player. I, myself have been learning piano for 2 years. At the age of 8 , I'm already in level 7 of the repetoire and studies/etudes, Royal Conservertary of Music. I'm playing many of Beethoven's songs, such as Fur Elise and I think his songs are awesome! I hope to be as good as Beethoven is on piano when I grow up. "

"This would have to be one of the greatest songs in history. i am 13 years old and i am in a keyboard class at my school. my teacher gave me the sheet music for this song and it was extremly easy. it is a beautiful song"
— Onomatopoeia from Perth, Austalia on November 20, 2006
"A very nice piano piece. The simplified versions can indeed be played by late-starters but this will also need practice. The entire original version however is quite difficult because of the middle and end part. Especially the middle part demands a lot of technical ability to be played fluently."
— Anonymous from Belgium on November 15, 2006
"Beethoven was a great composer. This song is so beautiful everytime my parents and my music teacher it makes them want to sway almost do the waltz.I have played some that wasn't very easy but this is very easy to me because i have been playing music for about 7 years now. You have go to try it (seriously)."

"an excellent work of art one of beethoven's greatest. it is a classic that most people are familiar with it can be learnd quite easly, though the timing and tempo can be difficult, I was able to learn it in just a few hours. i am familiar with pieces composed by beethoven and i am pleased to find that this one is quite accurate. i am 14 and have been playing since i was 4 even with pieces like the 2nd movement of sonata no.13 in my repitore this one is still a joy to play."
— Anthony Crofoot from -- on July 28, 2006
"This is one of the great classics. It is recognized by most people. It is a very easy piece to learn. I taught myself to play it at the age of eight (much to the surprise of my teacher who did not think that I was old enough). The song is beautiful to its simplicity-it is reminiscent of the simple things in life which make it wonderful."
— Chrissy from MI on July 14, 2006
"I am 13 Years old and have been playing the piano for about 6 years. I Have played a lot of different(easyer) versions of this song. About two years ago i got this one and fell in love with it. I love this song. Its Absolutely beautiful and By far my favorite song so far."

"If you have read previous reviews then you'll know thier's mixed opinions, some say it's easy to learn, some say the opposit. Obviously it varies through individuals. Some can pick up by ear and some need to analyse the music, whatever your talent - determanation is all you need. This will impress your audience."
— sharon quinn from lanarkshire, scotland on April 29, 2006
"This has to be one of my favorite songs! After just a few days of practicing, I memorized the first few measures. That really helped since I needed to concentrate on moving my hands around so much. I am stuck on the second page, though. But of course, I'm only a beginner. I recommend this if you want a little bit of a challenge."

"This is one of Beethoven's best pieces of music. I have been playing piano for 5 years, and I have just recently learned it. It is a very beautiful piece that does take time to learn. "
— Elizabeth from Wisconsin on December 23, 2005
"I love this piece so much, it saved my piano playing. I was on the verge of giving up piano forever when I heard Alicia Keys play it on an awards show i looked at my mum, and said i wana play this, the next day i went out and bought it. I practised solidly for about 5hrs a day for next 3 weeks. I found it very easy to pick up, and could play it by the end of the 3 weeks, but 4 yrs later its still not perfect, but i love it all the same, it would take a lot of practise to get this piece right, and y wudn't it, it is one of Beethovan's master pieces afterall"
— Aduke from Lincoln, England on December 9, 2005
"You should be able to at least stumble through it anywhere from a day-to 2 weeks; depending on your experience. But, mastering it with clarity and the required speed, will take disciplined practice. For those who say they mastered in 2weeks or less: How come a record company hasn't asked you to interpret for them?"
— Anonymous from Boston, Mass. on November 27, 2005
"Wonderful compositions all the way through. Not sure whether a beginner would find this one easy, but you never know unless you try."

"This song is absolutely gorgeous and when I was little I longed to play it everytime I heard it. Eventually, I taught it to myself, and I still love to play it, though it is not very easy to learn. I would definetly recommend this to anyone who loves/plays piano. (And to think, I was only in grade 2 piano when I learned it!)"

"Beethoven's Fur Elise is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. Also another great Beethoven classic is Moonlight Sonata. Both songs are amazing and if you love Beethovens music as much as I do then it's defenity worth your money for this pricelesss work."
— Jason from Arizona on August 29, 2004
"Pretty much everybody loves this piece and it is one of the best known classical pieces. The people that rated this as "Beginner" though re giving a false impression. It's not by any means a difficult piece, but it's far from beginner. You need a few years of piano study to master it. "
— Aaron from Ohio, USA on May 10, 2004
"This is a very easy piece to play. It took me a week and a half to learn to play it.If you have a recital or something you should definitely look into getting this because everyone knows and loves it!! "
— Katherine from WV on April 2, 2004
"When i first got this piece i had only been playing for a little less than a year. It was surprisingly easy, with a few slightly difficult parts, but in the end it was definitely worth it. This was and remains one of the most cherished classical songs. Buy it!!!"
— Anonymous from Riverside, CA on November 19, 2003
"Fur elise is a beutiful song and every pianist should learn to play it. It can be played ADEQUATELY relatively easily, and is a good tune for early pianists. But for those of you who have said you mastered it in 2 weeks or even 4 months (I believe one guy said it was the first piece he's played and he mastered it in 2 weeks), you are kidding yourselves. It takes a lot of practice to "master" this piece and it is still played at recitals of the highest level. But, as I said, it's a good piece because it can be played adequately by pretty much anyone."
— APC from Newport Beach, CA on October 23, 2003
"I didn't buy this from sheetmusicplus.com, but this is a great piece. It's really not that hard to learn if you are completely determined to learn it. It's a great piece and if you are hesitating to buy it, DON'T! You're card number is completely safe and you won't regret buying it!!!"

"I first ordered this piece around two months ago. I had never played piano ever in my life and i taught myself how to play it. It only took me around two weeks to perfect it at my maximum performance level. I would highly recommend this piece to anyone interested in learning how to play piano, its just extrodinary."
— Jon from Fairfax, VA on January 30, 2003
"this song is definetively my favorite from Beethoven. I dont know why,I've heard must of his works and have them too, but this one is just soo special. Its got slow parts, but also fast ones. I'd recommend it for intermediate players, but me myself being playing for 4 months only at school i'm almost done with it, i'd say all you need is determination and you can master it! Enjoy this timeless piece, it sounds better when you play it:-)"

"I played this famous song when I was a kid, and have just come back to it. It's suitable for intermediate to advanced children on up. Almost everyone recognizes the tune, so it's a big hit when I surprise people by pounding it out on the piano. This is a nice edition , too, just a few pages long."
