"I'm not a fantastic piano player, but I'm able to play this somewhat-easy arrangement. Two beautiful songs!"

"I only had to wait a few days to get my order. It was great. I'm not known for my patience. I'll definitely order from here next time. Great price too."

"Good sheet music, but it's really for beginners, and I don"t remember how she plays it in the movie, but here the voice and the right hand play the exact same thing, so the instrumental part isn't really rich. But anyway, the melody is still really beautiful and it's easy to learn it all in a few days."

"The music is well written and easy to play; it brings back the memories from the movie."

"This product does not include all the music from the film. It only has "Weep You No More Sad Fountains", and "The Dreame". "

"This piece is beautiful and great for intermediate high school sopranos. I'm sure I will use it all of the time in my private studio."

"hi, very lovely pieces, especially weep you no more sad fountains. My Father's Favorite's good piece too but non included in this title."
— Giuseppe from italy on March 18, 2008
"I absolutely enjoy this piece of music, although there is a section a little too high for my voice to partake in. The piano part is simply lovely and makes me feel like I am in the movie."
— Hollan Staker from Evansville, IN on February 22, 2008
"This piano piece is fine to learn to play, but to sing along, it would be best to be a trained soprano. Otherwise it's a well-scripted piece of music."
— Erin from Boulder, CO on February 7, 2008
"I really liked it, I had expected it to be a little harder but on the whole I found it to be extremely similar to that of the movie."
— Theresa-Christina de Souza from Pennysylvania, PA on January 14, 2008
"If you are a soprano looking for beautiful songs to charm your audience, this book is for you. I'm sure even a mezzo would enjoy it. These songs excersize your range as they reach from a low C to a high B Flat. They are in a higher key than the movie, I'm sure for Kate Winslet's sake, but all the more beautiful! "

"I was disappointed with this. The average high-school or university aged girl who loves the movie will find it very hard to sing effectively. Too high overall."

"Wonderful to find just the music I was looking for. Simple arrangements which make piano more accessible."

"As I'm about to turn seventeen just like Marianne in the book I looooooooove to play these songs. 'Weep You No More Sad Fountains' is a soprano's paradise so beautiful to sing and play. Definately pick this one up."
— Melanie Clayton from Wetumpka, AL on February 16, 2007
"Easy-breezy-one-two-threesy. This music is beeautiful, but it needs a harder arrangement that sounds more like the film's versions. "

"I absolutely loved the movie and its music, so I bought it and the soundtrack. So naturally I was thrilled to find the sheetmusic to my favorite songs from the movie! These pieces are definitely winners! They are simple, yes, but they don't necessarily sound simple, if you know what I mean... They are beautiful and elegant and very pleasing to play! They remind me of the movie and all the characters and scenes...it's just plain satisfying! :) Enjoy them!"

"Loved the movie. Loved the soundtrack. Bought the sheet music hoping to capture the beauty of the music for myself. Was very disappointed by the simplistic beginner level arrangement. Expected a fuller arrangement. The sheet music is probably acceptable for singers, but for pianists beyond the beginner level, VERY VERY disappointing. Don't waste your money."

"I was so excited to find these two songs! Everytime I watch the movie, they haunt me afterwards. The songs are beautiful and the arrangements are great too! I'm not much of a pianist, but I'm a singer and it was easy to sing the melody without the accompaniment. I'm so glad I bought it! "

"I was excited to find sheet music for two of the songs in the movie sense and sensibility. I was looking forward to playing them on the guitar. However, to my dismay, when I recieved the book, even though it says "vocal/piano/guitar" on the cover....no guitar chords! The notated music is excellent though and the only reason I rated it only 4 stars is because of its lack of guitar chords. If you wish to sing or play these pieces with piano go for it (they're both gorgeous!), but if you want guitar chords, you will have to figgure them out for yourself."

"This is a difficult piece to sing. However, once you get it (with a lot of practice!) it is simply WONDERFUL! I love Patrick Doyle music and I think this is one of his best. Even if you can't sing it is nice just for piano. "

"I absolutely love these pieces. "Weep you no more sad fountains" is a higher key than the snippet you hear in the movie, and does go quite high(B, b flat?)at the end, and "The Dreame" also has a soaring high note in the end, up to an A. I think they sound best when sung in a natural voice; not too airy like Marianne in the movie, but not so warbly as the soprano on the soundtrack. If you like these also check out "In Pace" by Patrick Doyle. It says it's written for a tenor, but sopranos can sing it just as well, if not better. It is on a Sarah Brightman CD if you want to hear it, although she changes it a little."

"I feel compelled to write in response to one of the readers reviews below. I was under the impression that these songs weren't the same as in the movie--they are. What I think the writer was trying to say is that the melody is the same, but the arrangments are a little different. They are both very nice, regardless."
— J.M. Hershey from Baltimore, MD on July 23, 2002
"Two beautiful songs - the lyrics, happily, are included, but be forewarned: the music says it is for guitar as well as piano, yet there are no chord notations in the material. I worked them out myself, and the songs sound very nice indeed (or will with practice)."
— LadyC from PA, USA on August 27, 2000
"The description of the piece says that it has no lyrics,it does, however have lyrics to both songs. The piano arrangments aren't the same as those heard on the movie--they follow the melody line--but they are nice just the same. "
