  • March 12, 2008 Great resource for piano lessons and recitals

I want to use the explanation that the book gives at the beginning: "notable for its exceptional insight into the development of technic and musicianship for the early intermediate pianist". Very useful to identify chords, keys, scales, etc., so the student develops this skill of identification and sight-reading.

  • May 07, 2005 delightful, but Heaven only knows why!

If I wrote anything which abounded in cliches and set formulas like the pieces in this book and showed it to my composition teacher, he would kill me. Nevertheless, I relished this book when I was a piano student in elementary school. If more sophisticated composers can do better, then...

    let's see them do it.
