The 25 Daily Exercises for Saxophone by Hyacinthe Klose has been a best-seller for almost 100 years. These exercises have served as invaluable studies to develop technical control across the range of the saxophone, as well as stamina, tone, and phrasing. Master saxophonist and teacher, Timothy McAllister, provides the first major update of this seminal method. This edition is meticulously edited and includes suggestions and enhancements that bring the time tested Klose studies into confluence with modern technique practices. This new edition honors the past, but brings these studies to a new generation of saxophonists.

  • December 14, 2011 Good book

The excercises themselves are well thought out. My only disappointment was that the print was a bit small but not enough to be put off.

Many exercises have that one phrase you just can't learn, but these are equally frustrating throughout the entire piece. Practicing these caused Instant improvement.

I give this to all my students, even some middle school kids. Great for building tone, stamina and key signatures not too difficult for intermediate level students. Love the articulations written. Nice patterns for kids to learn the importance of executing the articulations accurately.

I'm getting back into playing the sax and this is an excellent book to get the fingering and breathing back.
