This music is considerably more difficult than other music I have purchased that is termed "easy" beginner.

  • July 24, 2007 Good source for intermediate rags.

This book contains a good selection of Joplin rags for the intermediate level player. My boys are competing in a Ragtime Piano Competition, and I had a hard time finding the rags they liked in an intermediate arrangement. My boys are 10 and 12 years old, and they have been...

taking lessons for 4 and 6 years (respectively). The arrangements are slightly challenging for them, but not over-whelming.

  • March 28, 2007 Fun To Play

This is a good book. I like it because the songs are fairly easy to learn and they're fun to play. My dad particularly likes them and enjoys hearing them. I recommend this for other intermediates to try.

  • February 05, 2006 simplified, but not enough!

there is nothing wrong with this songbook, but when i read that there were 18 rags in "easier" versions, i had no idea that they were going to be THIS complicated. but i'm not going to return it, because later on in the game i'm going to need...

it, just as soon as i can play this type of thing. what i would recommend for a late beginner, such as i am, would be, "scott joplin: king of ragtime for easy piano" (Editor's note ~ Sku # is HL.510356)
