Organist Yves-G. Prefontaine is featured in the first recording made on the splendid Juget-Sinclair Op. 35 organ installed in the Chapelle du Musee de l'Amerique francophone in Quebec City. Built in 2009, the Juget-Sinclair Op. 35 was recreated based on close examination of historic French organs and archival documents. The instrument is made in the classic 18th-century French style: it is pitched at A=392, lacks, is tuned in meantone temperament with eight pure thirds, and features low air pressure, a suspended mechanism. Only a few French organs from this period survive in Europe, and they are even more rare in North America. According to several experts on organ music, this recreation of the "1753" organ is a marvel of craftsmanship, esthetics, and sonority.
