Smp_stars40 Listen Up!

"This is a good book and I love the Suzuki method. It is really good for ear training and memorization. My only complaint is that I wish the CD that comes with it had a section for playing the pieces slower without accompaniment."

Smp_stars50 Suzuki Violin Vol 2

"My son enjoys listening to Susuki Volume 2. At bedtime, he goes to sleep while the music plays. The more he listens the more easier he remembers the melody when practicing. "

Smp_stars50 Not just a book of solos...A Method

"This book is part of a teaching method by Suzuki. The parent assists in learning with the chcld. The fingering numbers are included in the songs in order for the parent to assist the child. You should purchase the CD for listening as well. Part of the method is listening and training of the ear. After hearing the songs, it is easier to play the songs correctly. If you are using this book as a supplement to another method of playing, then ignore the fingerings. In the higher levels, the fingerings are gradually taken away and only entered as needed for shifting."

Smp_stars20 ........

"The problem with playing these pieces are that there are too many finger numbers. You should be learning the names and finger numbers of the notes yourself. Very disapointing. I though it would be more of a challange but it was way to easy."

Smp_stars50 A very nice book

" The Suzuki book 2 is really fun to play and teach, that is if you love Classical music as I most certainly do. The piano parts are very beautiful and fun to play, also. I recently had a teen-age student who could play these beautifully, with my accompaniment on my Knabe baby grand piano. Wonderful! "
