  • April 20, 2013 Great book

Finally!!! A book with great jazz tunes for flute duets - and allows both parts to enjoy the essence of the music instead of one flute all melody and another all back up, and includes improv ideas. If want to enjoy playing jazz tunes this is the book for you.

  • September 06, 2008 Good Duet arrangements

It's nice to finally see some jazz instrumental duet options. The arrangements are especially good for those who enjoy playing jazz, but don't play by ear. The melody line moves from part 1 to part 2, giving instrumentalists a balance of playing, and it feels like the "real...

thing" for those not used to or able to "ad lib" jazz. The arrangements are good for teaching rhythms and the jazz style of playing, and work especially well for older musicians since the melodies are familiar. Another good resource is "Great Jazz Duets"
