  • January 07, 2013 Wonderful Resource

The Cortot study editions of the Chopin etudes are pure gold and it is valuable to read every word of his annotations. Do I practice everything he recommends? Of course not. Do I agree with everything he recommends? No. However, it provides and excellent perspective on pianism and how to...

Very highly recommended addition to your library. The Cortot edition is my favorite edition of...

the Chopin Etudes; but, I use them in conjunction with editions by Paderewski, Mikuli and Friedheim, as using multiple editions is helpful with Chopin's music in particular.
