Czerny Op.453 . . .
5 Stars & 2 Thumbs Up!!! This book is so very much like Czerny's Opus 823 & 599, also like his 849, but 'beware', it starts out very easy then after study #10 it starts to advance in giant steps (Czerny made mistake in this manner), the pieces sound very beautiful, great for sight-reading and developing overall piano ability in every way, but this book is truly Late Elementary to Early Advanced, NOT SMP Level 2, NO! So, again always be careful with Czerny's books, ask your piano teachers first!

Not so easy
This book is easy for about 5 exercises, tolerable for the next 10, and difficult to extremely difficult for the remainder. I have been playing for 4 years and this is beyond my wildest dreams. It is probably good to master these but the word EASY should not be in the title.

Teaching Materials
It is helpful to have the whole opus in front of you. You can do your own choosing and vary the assignments.

CZERNY....Exercises for the piano
For me, a 62-yr.old beginner/intermediate player, I would rather play by ear than read music, so this is a challenge to say the least. I am trying to teach myself to another level, so a hoping these exercises will train my aging brain to pay attention to fingering. ( something I have ignored successfully until now)
