Both books are awesome. Mark Hayes is a great composer. I like all of his songs, however "God Will Make A Way" is 1 of my favorites.

The accompaniments in this book were not what I really wanted.

  • November 03, 2002 Exciting Arrangements

The arrangements in this collection are exciting and uplifting. As a classically trained soprano, I have looked and looked for good arrangements of spirituals--and here they are! The accompaniments are exquisite--pianistic and virtuosic! I particularly love Deep River which is a balm everytime I sing it. Joshua Fit...

The Battle of Jericho is exciting with a challenging accompaniment that brings the audience to their feet. I would highly recommend these arrangements for accomplished singers and accompanists.
