Scott Camp studied piano, improvisation, composition, and theory at the University of Tennessee (BA), New England Conservatory of Music (BM, MM), and the University of Iowa (doctoral studies). Scott taught piano in Asheville, NC, where he was a member and past president of the Asheville Area Piano Forum. Both Scott's and his students' performances are well documented on YouTube, in addition to two albums with wife Patsy Brison, RAIN DOWN LOVE (2013) and FOR A BETTER WORLD (2016). As part of his successful instruction method, Scott created the V ("Gap") system for notating expansions of the hand in piano music. This innovation resulted in the ability to communicate the fundamental technique (hand positions and finger numbers) of all piano music.
