Detailed Description

Hallelujah (From 'Mount of Olives') composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827). Arranged by Hal H. Hopson. For SATB choir. Classics, Celebration, Festival, God's Attributes/Character, Kingdom, Masterwork, Praise, Easter, General, Sacred. Octavo. 16 pages. Published by Hope Publishing Company (HP.C5273).

Hal Hopson's new arrangement of this classic Beethoven chorus makes it more accessible to a wide range of choral ensembles and organists, while retaining the essence of the original. The key has been lowered one-and-a-half steps to a more comfortable vocal range, and the accompaniment has been somewhat simplified. Additionally, there is an optional timpani part and a new, optional text for Easter. These welcome changes will enable many churches to enjoy this thrilling masterwork in a fresh new way.
