Laudamus Te

By Antonio Vivaldi

Detailed Description

Laudamus Te composed by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741). Arranged by Robert Sieving. For 2-part choir (with optional string orchestra). Janet Galvan Roots & Wings Series. Sacred Anthem. Moderately easy. Octavo. Published by Roger Dean Publishing (LO.10-2559R).

Vivaldi's Gloria et Introduzione is quite likely the older of his two Glorias. As in the Gloria In D, the Laudamus Te is a brisk duet for two sopranos. The added string orchestra will not only make this piece more exciting, it will also help teach young singers the style and requirements of the period.
