Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Digital Download

SKU: A0.758970

Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Timothy J. Olt. Romantic Period. 46 pages. Olt Music #2893563. Published by Olt Music (A0.758970).

Written by Brahms in gratitude for an honorary doctorate bestowed upon him, the Academic Festival Overture utilizes a number of collegiate drinking songs of the time.  This arrangement for sax ensemble is a definite audience pleaser!

This work is scored for an unusual instrumentation for a sax ensemble.  The work calls for 2 soprano, 2 alto, 2 tenor and 2 baritone saxes, but is actually divided into 2 sax quartets.  This is to allow for use as a side-by-side work for student and professional ensembles.  The work may also be played antiphonally if preferred, but this effect is not necessary.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
