By The Champs. By Chuck Rio. Arranged by Austin Ralphson. Contemporary. Score and parts. 43 pages. Austin Ralphson #1901011. Published by Austin Ralphson (A0.563074).

"Tequila" is a 1958 Latin-flavored rock and roll instrumental recorded by the Champs. It is based on a Cuban mambo beat and became a #1 hit on both the pop and R&B charts at the time. In this arrangement for brass ensemble I have featured every instrument within a solo section, and have also made use of a drum kit, although the arrangement will work without this (just miss out the 16-bar drum solo). Bands could choose to stand and sit at certain places, or to create other choreography as required. There is also the option to wear appropriate clothing!

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
