We condensed our popular Level 1A and Level 1B student books into this fast moving book created especially for older beginner students ages 11 to adult. Older Beginner Level 1 is 132 pages with 72 original compostions including 3 five-piano ensembles (4 student parts plus a teacher's part). Older Beginner Level 1 starts at the start at the beginning by first teaching them how to count rhythms correctly and the keys on the piano. The book then quickly progresses into staff note reading. There are many "hands separately" compositions that thoroughly cover each concept along with corresponding theory fun sheet. A suggested 16 lesson teaching schedule is included at the front of each book.We use large notes and staves on purpose in this series. Even the adults learn much faster and with much more comprehension when the large notes imprint over a larger area of the brain during the learning process.
