Beginning with a stately drum roll-off, Alla marcia may seem like an ordinary march. It doesn't take long after the trumpets announce the military style melody to see that the work is "like a march" in its sound and texture. However, an occasional three-two bar adds sparkle and interest whenever it arrives. Alla marcia can be programmed wherever you might use a more conventional march, but want something a little "left of center.".
