Jesus, Priceless Treasure

By Johann Sebastian Bach

Look Jesus, Priceless Treasure
Detailed Description

Jesus, Priceless Treasure composed by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). Arranged by John Leavitt. For SATB choir. Trust, Unity, Healing & Peace. Easy-Moderately Easy. Published by Concordia Publishing House (CR.98-3908U1).

John Leavitt has made this TTBB arrangement from his SATB setting, originally written for his large work Jubilee. Because the vocal range is very reasonable, most male choirs could easily sing this setting during the Epiphany season. Leavitt has extracted this chorale from J. S. Bach's motet, 'Jesu, meine Freude' (BWV 227) and edited and arranged it for today's use. Among its use is serving as a choir stanza in alternation with the congregation's singing of the hymn.
