Detailed Description

Elegie composed by Gabriel Faure (1845-1924). Arranged by Valory Strobel. For trombone and piano. French Impressionist Solo. Intermediate. Full score & set of parts. Published by Cherry Classics (CY.CC2174).

Faure's haunting & serious Elegie, originally written for Cello has been transcribed for Trombone & Piano by Val Strobel. This work is for a moderately advanced Trombonist in bass & tenor clef. The piano part needs a player with good technique. Range is from a low C below the staff to a high C and is about 4 minutes in length. This work can be performed on a Tenor or Bass Trombone (with a good high C). This excellent transcription will make a fine addition to any recital program.
