Broadway Hits For Tenor (Karaoke CDG) broadway. Karaoke CDG. Published by Pocket Songs (PS.PSCDG1344).
These eight classic Broadway show tunes are tailor-made for tenor voices. George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess --an 'American folk opera,' as the songwriter himself proclaimed it --was first produced in Carnegie Hall in 1935. A tale of two star-crossed lovers in 1920's South Carolina, it featured an entirely African-American cast, which was unheard of at the time. Two songs from that groundbreaking opera are presented here, along with selections from such other fine musicals as South Pacific, Show Boat, Fiddler On The Roof and more!
Each Pocket Songs PSCDG album contains a complete performance with a professional vocalist as well as the karaoke tracks of each song, for the at-home performer. CDG discs can be played on a regular CD player but require a CDG player to see the graphics.
