Beautiful, not too hard
This is a piece I played as a youth and Im assigning it to my early high school flutists. It has a beautiful lilting quality and allows the flute to really sing. The harmonies are rich and unusual. This edition is nice compared to other sources in which this piece is found in that it doesnt squish all the notes together on one page. I believe the expansiveness of the notation could lead to the same in style of playing. The piano part is harder than I rememberearly advanced or advanced in a few parts-and I am trying hard to learn it so I can accompany my students up to tempo.
