Detailed Description

In The Hall Of The Mountain King composed by Edvard Grieg (1843-1907). Arranged by Frank Halferty. For baritone horn-tuba quartet (2 baritone horns and 2 tubas). Grade 3.5. Score and set of parts. Published by Kendor Music Inc (KN.18096).

From its mysteriously quiet introduction to its thundering conclusion, Grieg's most famous theme makes a perfect addition to the repertoire for baritone-tuba quartet. In his arrangement, Halferty intentionally keeps technical requirements as reasonable as possible so student players can focus on the special challenges of a steadily increasing tempo and intensity. Besides its obvious merits as a contest or festival selection, we think this will make a great change-of-pace feature during concert band programs.
