Emil George Conrad von Sauer was born in Hamburg, Germany, on October 8th, 1862. He was a pupil of Franz Liszt, and one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation. He was also notable as a piano teacher and editor (having edited, among other things, the complete piano works of Johannes Brahms and Franz Liszt for C. F. Peters). Emil Sauer died in Vienna, Austria, on April 27th, 1942.

Arranged for two pianos by Emil Sauer (this is a reprint of the 1906 Kistner Edition) + two copies are included.
