This engaging piece has many facets. Patterns of fifths allow easy mastery of pitch and rhythm. The form is sweetly simple for memorization. The phrases provide excellent material for examining peaks to highlight and sighs to subside. Dynamic contrast is built into the title and music. It is a perfect piece to incorporate pedal as well. Students of all ages enjoy Dream Echoes.

My younger students love this piece because they get to use the damper pedal. I like it because it also teaches dynamics as well as tempo changes. Good first piece for pedaling, but also makes a nice recital piece.

This is a beautiful piece. It is easy for a first year student to learn and play for a recital.
