This piece is a series of variations on a theme (similar to the variations on a theme found in a piece like Bolero or Pachelbel's Canon). If found this true to the original quartet and if you love the original quartet you will enjoy playing this transcription. I am very happy with my purchase and the prompt service from Sheet Music Plus.

Have to disagree with the other reviewer, Saying this Nocturne is repetitive is like saying Bolero is repetitive. Variations on the theme is the whole point of this deeply inspiring and emotionally evocative piece. I am very happy with this transcription and its fidelity to the original quartet version.
